Athletes such as Layne are a rare breed in this day and age; a physical big that loves to play in the post with his back to the basket. Effective scorer on both sides of the basket, and thrives off of contact often leading him to the foul line. However, seeking that very contact, he has a tendency to take off balanced shots; he will need to improve his balance moving forward. Layne is an excellent rebounder and on the cusp of becoming an elite shot blocker.
